Privacy notice

Updated 19 October 2026

This notice explains how Chancery Hudson handles information when you use chanceryhudson.com or contact us. It is a generic notice. Have a lawyer review it before you rely on it in production.

Who we are

Chancery Hudson (chanceryhudson.com) is the controller for business contact details you send us. Contact hello@chanceryhudson.com. The founder named in our records is Melissa. The founder name in the site config is still a placeholder until it is published.

What we collect

We collect business contact details (name, work email, phone if you give it, company name, website) and quiz answers in bands. We capture UTM tags and click ids from the URL so we can tell which ad or page sent you. We do not ask for files, samples, customer data or passwords. We never receive or store your company's operating data.

Why we collect it

To assess whether an introduction to a data licensing buyer is plausible, to contact you about that, and to make an introduction only after you say yes in writing. We also respond to ordinary enquiries from the contact form.

Lawful basis

Consent for introductions and marketing contact you opt into. Legitimate interests for answering an enquiry you sent us. If UK GDPR applies, those are the usual bases. US visitors have the state rights described below.

Sharing

We may use processors such as our host, form or sheet tools, Cal.com for booking, and Meta if you arrived from an ad and consented to analytics. We share your company with a named buyer only after written consent. We do not sell your information.

Transfers

If we are based in the UK and use US processors, your business contact details may leave the UK. We will use the safeguards those processors offer (standard contractual clauses or the then current approved mechanism).

Retention

Unqualified leads are deleted after 90 days. Consent records and introduction records are kept for as long as a referral fee could reasonably be due, then deleted. You can ask us to delete sooner unless we must keep a record of consent or a live introduction.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion, and you can withdraw consent. Email hello@chanceryhudson.com. You may also complain to your local regulator. For UK users that is the ICO.

US state privacy rights

If you are a resident of a US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information. Email the address above to use these rights. We will not collect sensitive personal information on purpose. Quiz questions are about the company, not about you as a private individual.

Cookies and Meta Pixel

If a Meta Pixel ID is configured, we load it only after you accept analytics cookies. It helps us measure ads. You can refuse. Essential cookies are limited to remembering that choice and the quiz progress on your device.

Children

This site is for business operators, not for children. We do not try to collect data about children. Company records that contain children's data are a hard stop in the quiz.

Good records. New possibilities.

Chancery Hudson is independent and is not affiliated with any AI company or data buyer. Introductions may result in a referral fee paid by the buyer. Nothing on this page is legal, tax or financial advice.

We use an optional analytics tag from Meta to measure ads. Accept if you are happy with that. Essential site functions still work if you refuse.
