FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

If you want the short version: we are independent, you pay nothing, we never touch your files, and you can stop at any point.

Who are you?

Chancery Hudson is an independent introducer. We are not an agent, partner or employee of any buyer. We introduce you to vetted buyers when there is a fit and you agree in writing.

How do you get paid?

If you sign a deal with a buyer we introduced, that buyer may pay us a referral fee. You pay nothing. We tell you in writing, before any introduction, which buyer it is and that we may be paid.

What will I be paid?

We cannot say. Each buyer values records itself after its own review, and some companies receive no offer.

Is my data safe?

We never touch it. Buyers describe their own security, removal of identifying details, and contract terms. Read them before you sign.

Do I have to sell?

No. You can stop at any point.

Can you introduce me to several buyers?

One at a time. If a buyer declines, we can ask you about the next one.

Should I get advice?

Yes. Consider a lawyer, especially about client contracts, employee data and confidentiality.

What kinds of records can fit?

Years of operating history across tools such as email, team chat, documents, CRM and tickets. Records the company owns, with personal data that can be removed. Specialist material such as video libraries, design or CAD archives, call recordings, code, and large document collections.

What do you never take?

Patient records, children's data, payment card data, or files that belong to your clients. If that is most of what you hold, we will say so and stop.

Who is this for?

Established companies, usually with 10 or more full time staff, or smaller firms that hold a specialist archive. US companies are the main focus. UK, Canada and Australia can still be a fit.

How long does the check take?

About two minutes for nine questions. Bands only. No files, no passwords, no samples. If it looks like a fit we book a 15 minute call.

Do you store our files?

No. We never receive, store or view your data or samples. The buyer you meet runs its own process after you agree.
